Where Can You Serve?

Rebirth Ministries offers several areas where you can help. Members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as donating lotion and tissue boxes to preparing envelopes for the Ministry of Giving.

RB Choir

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Several church members get involved in our choir ministry that is about two years old. These volunteers are an important part of the Rebirth church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. We are looking for strong tenors, altos and sopranos.

Greeters

The Greeters Team fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted women whose ministry is integral to church life.

New Media

In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use media for kingdom purposes. We maintain two active Facebook pages for additional church communication and we are creating an in-service digital ministry.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Rebirth is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Tuesday, a team is praying for specific groups on the Prayer List. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of Bible study that always ends with Prayer.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Rebirth holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Director Cydney M. Benjamin earned a BA in psychology and Spanish, St. John Fisher College, and she is a two-time recipient of Presidential letters for her extensive community service and volunteerism in the Rochester City School District.
